About Holidays

Definition:

Holiday (noun): a day of festivity or recreation when no work is done.

Messenger:

In Messenger, a holiday is a day where your business is closed, or according to national law, is supposed to be closed for a public holiday.  If an employee works on a holiday, then he will earn according to your public holiday shift setup.  If an employee does not show up to work on a holiday, he will not show up as absent on the absentee report.

Therefore it is important to make sure your holidays are setup correctly, as the holidays will affect your timesheets.

Managing Holidays

Your holidays can be managed from the Holidays screen.  The Holidays screen is accessed from Setup on the Main Menu of Messenger.  (See Figure 1).
