Definition:
Group (noun): a number of people or things that are located, gathered, or classed together.
Messenger:
In Messenger, groups are used as sub-departments. Therefore you can have 1 department and many groups within that department. The manager can then request reports on Messenger for only her department, and filter it according to groups within that department.
Examples of departments and groups could be:
- Operations
- General Workers
- Cleaners
- Technicians
- Sales
- Telesales
- Reps
- Workshop
- Iron workers
- Carpenters
- Finance
- Debtors and Creditors
- Auditors
Managing Groups
Your groups can be managed from the Groups screen. The Groups screen is accessed from Setup on the Main Menu of Messenger. (See Figure 1)
Employees can be moved between groups from the Edit Employee screen. The Edit Employee screen is accessed from the Employees screen of Messenger. (See Figure 2)
