About Migration and Adjustment Reasons

Definitions:

Migration (noun): movement from one part of something to another.

Adjustment (noun):  a small alteration or movement made to achieve a desired fit, appearance, or result.

Messenger:

In Messenger, a Migration Reason is the reason that an employee is moved from one shift type to another shift type.

An Adjustment Reason is the reason that an adjustment was made to an employee’s timesheet information through the Adjustment screen of messenger.

Messenger’s migration and adjustment reason can be used interchangeably.

Managing Migration/Adjustment Reasons

You can manage your Migration/Adjustment Reasons by going to the Main Menu of Messenger, clicking Setup, then Preferences, and selecting the Migration Reason tab.  (See figure 1)
